Canterbury City Community Centre works in partnership with many other Organisations and Government agencies to provide services and activities to our communities of interest. Some of our Partners outreach their services at the Centre.
Inner Western Sydney Financial Counselling Service
Financial Counselling is for people going through financial hardship and who might be worried about how to pay their bills and debts. The Financial Counsellor can help you assess your current financial situation, assist you to prepare a money plan, provide you with options to improve your situation (possibly including arrangements with creditors or advocacy), provide information about debt collection, bankruptcy and Centrelink entitlements, and provide you with information and referrals to local services.
The Inner Western Sydney Financial Counselling Service is free and confidential. The Service is provided through a partnership between Metro Assist and Rosemount Good Shepherd Youth and Family Services and is funded by NSW Fair Trading.

Lakemba Women's Health Clinic
The Lakemba Women’s Health Clinic was established as a partnership between Canterbury City Community Centre, Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre and Medicare Local.
The Clinic operates on Wednesdays from the Centre’s offices at 130 Railway Pde Lakemba and aims to improve the health and well being of women in the local area by offering greater access to preventative health and health screening services.
Women are seen by appointment for women’s health issues including cervical screening, breast health, contraception advice, menopause advice, pelvic floor assessment, sexually transmitted infections and safe sex advice, preconception and pregnancy assessment, cardiovascular risk factors and assessment, screening for blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose, exposure to tobacco, domestic violence assessment, emotional health and well being, post natal check ups, unplanned pregnancy, post termination checks, and referrals are provided to recommended general practitioners, health and community services.
The Clinic is staffed by a women’s health nurse employed by Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Clinic. The service is free and confidential.

STARTTS
The NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) is offering an Outreach counselling service at our Railway Parade Office each Friday between 9 am and 4 pm.
STARTTS has been providing services to survivors of torture and trauma from refugee and refugee-like backgrounds in NSW since 1988. STARTTS mission is:
To develop and implement ways to facilitate the healing process of survivors of torture and refugee trauma and to assist and resource individuals and organizations who work with them to provide appropriate, effective and culturally sensitive services.
STARTTS provides a broad range of clinical services including assessment; brief and longer term therapeutic interventions; family and group interventions. To best support clients who have many other stressors to deal with, STARTTS Direct Services Counselling teams provide outreach services in areas of Sydney that have a significant number of refugees and asylum seekers to improve access to their services.
