Manual Handling for Community Aged Care Support Workers

This training will cover principles around safe manual handling for workers supporting people at home and in the community, including risk management, back care principles and practical application to relevant tasks, including:

• On and off the bus
• Chair and car transfers
• Assist people to stand, walk and manage steps
• Standing transfers
• Using wheelchairs and walkers
• Lifting and carrying shopping bags
• Pushing shopping trolley

For CHSP/SAH staff and volunteers. Snacks & fruit provided, please have lunch before arriving.
