STARS Project Officer – Part Time (12 Hours per Week)
Canterbury City Community Centre(4CS) is seeking a Project Officer to join our Skills, Training and Resource Service (STARS) team.
This part-time position is 12 hours per week until the 30 June 2027 and is classified under SCHADS Award Level 4.
The Project Officer will support the delivery of training, workshops and provision of information to volunteers and workers in Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) funded Aged Care services.

Board Member & Treasurer (Volunteer)
Canterbury City Community Centre (4Cs) is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. We are currently recruiting for two volunteer roles:
- Board Member – help provide strategic direction, governance and leadership for the organisation.
- Treasurer – provide financial leadership and oversight, working closely with the Board, CEO and Finance Officer.
For over 50 years, 4Cs has supported diverse communities across Canterbury-Bankstown and the Inner West through programs through Aged Care, Settlement, Community Engagement, Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, and Learning & Development.
About the Role
As a Board Director, you will help guide the strategic direction and governance of the organisation, ensuring 4Cs continues to deliver quality, community-focused services.
We are particularly seeking a Treasurer with experience in finance, accounting, business management or insurance to provide financial oversight and support good governance.
Treasurer Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Chair the quarterly Finance Committee.
- Support sound financial governance and compliance.
- Help the Board understand financial reports and key financial risks.
Commitment
- Board meetings are held every second month on Tuesday evenings in Belmore.
- Directors also participate in Board sub-committees.
- Initial Board term is one year, with eligibility for re-election.
- Board members are required to become financial members of 4Cs and complete a Board Skills Matrix self-assessment during the recruitment process.

Community Care Workers
Canterbury City Community Centre is currently recruiting Community Care Workers to assist in the delivery of the Home Care Packages Program, supporting elderly people in the Inner West and South West Sydney, through providing domestic assistance, transport, and/or personal care services. We are seeking friendly, reliable staff who enjoy helping elderly residents to remain independent in their own homes. Applicants must have a current drivers licence and be reasonably physically fit.
