Community Treasure:

Terry Doolan

Terry, is a true community treasure. A long time Lakemba resident and one of the 4Cs’ earliest board members, she played a pivotal role in the centre’s early growth, and never forgot the locals and volunteers who kept it thriving. With just a $5,000 grant, she established the first funded social support group – proof that “from little things, big things grow.”

When asked what she loved most about her time at the 4Cs, Terry said, “I just loved going there, the people were so nice and the workers always so good to everyone.”

Her story reflects a deep and enduring connection with the 4Cs, spanning from leadership roles to later receiving support in her Lakemba home. Terry’s generosity, optimism and countless hours of service have left a lasting legacy, truly making her a community treasure.
