This year’s National Child Protection Week theme, “Every Conversation Matters: Shifting Conversation to Action,” reminds us that while conversations can build understanding and awareness, it is the actions that follow that can make a real difference.
At 4Cs, we work alongside children, young people, families and carers across many of our programs and community partnerships. We take seriously the responsibility this brings and remain committed to strengthening child safety across our organisation and in the communities we serve.
Creating safer communities for children is something we can all contribute to. It can start with listening, checking in, speaking up, offering support or helping a child or family connect with the right services.
Every conversation matters. Every action matters. And together, we can help create communities where children feel safe, supported and able to thrive.

Courage can be speaking up, asking for support, standing beside someone, or simply feeling able to be yourself.
This year’s Wear It Purple Day theme, Colours of Courage, recognises the many different ways LGBTQIA+SB young people and their allies show courage every day.
At 4Cs, we believe every young person deserves to feel safe, respected, included and valued for who they are. The day is also a reminder of the role we can all play in creating communities where people feel welcome and have a sense of belonging.

❤️ Celebrating Aged Care Employee Day
Today, we recognise and thank the dedicated aged care professionals who make a positive difference in the lives of older people every day. Through their compassion, kindness and commitment, they help people stay connected, maintain their independence, and continue to participate in and enjoy their community.
One of those people is Megan. For the past 12 years, she has been helping older people build friendships, enjoy new experiences and stay active in their community through Canterbury City Community Centre`s Social Inclusion and Wellness Program. Her infectious energy and genuine compassion bring joy, confidence and connection to every outing.
We recently caught up with Megan to hear what inspires her, why community and belonging are so important, and what she loves most about working in aged care.

🎄 4Cs Social Inclusion Program has done it again! Our annual Christmas in July lunch at Mt Lewis Bowling Club, Greenacre was a wonderful success, bringing together clients, volunteers and staff for a day filled with great food, laughter and festive cheer.
Every year, this much-loved event gives our social groups the opportunity to come together, enjoy a delicious meal, sing songs, socialise and forget about winter for a little while! ❄️🎶
A big thank you to Mt Lewis Bowling Club for welcoming us and to Rocky’s Grill for the fantastic food that helped make the day so enjoyable.
