Building Meaningful Relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Older People, Families & Communities – A half day workshop focused on Enhancing Cultural Competency

Through key focus areas participants will strengthen their understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and lived experience, fostering a more respectful, empathetic and inclusive way of working in the community:

  • Building meaningful & respectful connections
  • Applying Cultural Protocols and Practices
  • Understanding historical impacts
  • Deepening awareness and compassion
  • Supporting cultural safety in care
  • Lifting and carrying shopping bags
  • Embedding cultural learnings into practice
