1972
Established in 1972, Canterbury City Community Centre, a not for profit organisation serves Canterbury Bankstown and Inner West Local Government Areas.
Originating from a public meeting led by then Canterbury City Council Mayor Colin Williams on the 29 June 1972, it was initially known as Canterbury Community Aid Bureau.
By 1986, it settled at 130 Railway Parade, Lakemba. Renamed Canterbury City Community Centre in 1996, it’s affectionately known as the 4Cs, providing inclusive and reliable services.
