Volunteering with Us
Volunteering with Garden Care
At Canterbury Community Centre, our Garden Care Service helps older people stay independent by transforming their gardens into safe, low maintenance spaces. With the support of volunteers and staff, we weed, mulch, prune and tidy up so that our clients can continue enjoying their homes with confidence.
What we do
Our friendly and experienced teams visit gardens Monday to Friday,
9 am – 12 pm. Together, we focus on:
- Weeding and mulching
- Pruning trees and shrubs
- Making gardens safe, accessible and easy to maintain
Where we work
We provide garden support across the Inner West and Canterbury-Bankstown local government areas.
Volunteer with us
We’re looking for volunteers who are:
- Reliable and interested in gardening
- Available at least once a week
- Able to travel to and from job sites (travel costs are reimbursed)
